Jersey Village High School PALS

March 18, 2010

Pup Squad is very lucky to have been adopted by The Jersey Village High School PALs program. These amazing teenagers have come out en mass every time we put out a call for help.  They worked both of our events at the Downtown Aquarium as well as Barkitecture, Holiday Adoptions and the Grand Opening at the Houston Pavilions.  We had 60 dogs at the Grand Opening and believe me they worked HARD that day. In fact, every time they come out, they work so hard and take great care of all the dogs as well as help potential adopters.

As if that weren’t enough, recently, they reached out to our volunteer coordinator because they wanted to help us but weren’t sure how.  She suggested a dog-food drive and the results were incredible.  They brought in enough food, treats and toys to fill a Toyota Forerunner.  Considering we have over 100 dogs in our program at any given moment, you can imagine what a big boost all that food was to us.

In a further show of support, 25 members of the program bought Pup Squad t-shirts and joined the SPCA’s Mutt Strutt as Pup Squad representatives.
